I am a freelance editor working in the greater Los Angeles area. I have an interest in pursuing both fiction and non-fiction work.
Background
Born and raised in San Diego, I fell in love with film in high school. I decided to pursue a major of Television, Film, and New Media at San Diego State University. While there, I wrote, directed, and edited in a variety of my own films, from fiction to documentaries. It was through this experience that I discovered that my true passion was for film editing, and that led me to Chapman University’s MFA Editing program in 2017.
During my second year at Chapman, I interned with Act III Productions, Norman Lear’s production company, through the Television Academy’s internship program. Through connections made during that internship, in my third year at Chapman, I served as the Assistant Editor on a PBS documentary about legendary film star, Rita Moreno.
I graduated from Chapman University in May, 2020 at the top of my class. Since then, I have served as a freelance editor for The Audio/Visual Crew, and I am always on the lookout for freelance, part time, and full time post production opportunities.
I am an Avid Media Composer certified user, and I am always looking for new opportunities in all divisions of film and TV editing, as well as any new forms of media that might expand how we use visual storytelling. Please reach out and contact me if you have any interest in working together. Thank you!
