QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE

Season 1

LEAD ASSISTANT EDITOR: SEPTEMBER, 2021 - DECEMBER, 2021

I served as the lead assistant editor for season one of the VH1/Paramount+ show Queen of the Universe, produced by World of Wonder. The assistant editor team was in charge of tracking all media as it came in from shooting in London. I assisted in grouping and organizing the show footage and distributing to the various show projects for picture and story editors. Per the needs of each episode, I would also create graphics from Adobe After Effects. Assistant editors handled imports, media tracking, exports, and quality control. I also performed minor edits to additional promo material under the direction of producers when editors were unavailable for the task.

BUDDHA JONES

ASSISTANT EDITOR: APRIL, 2021 - SEPTEMBER, 2021

I was an assistant editor with Buddha Jones, an editing house that caters to television, film, and games trailers. This job centered strongly on the technical aspects of editing, especially while working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. The assistant editors imported new elements from clients as they arrived, ranging from graphics to features. We also assisted the editors with sourcing offline media, created Avid projects as needed, and ensured that all assets were readily available for their use offsite. Assistant editors also performed dialogue breakdowns of assets, exported media as required, and prepped spots for finishing.
